The new guidance

The HSE has just published new guidance  ahead of the regulation changes, which will now definitely take place on the 1st October. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 will be amended to remove the requirement for the HSE to approve first aid training and qualifications. HSE has made these changes to make it easier for businesses and other users to understand how to comply with Health and Safety Law, whilst maintaining standards. They apply to business of all sizes from all industry sectors.

HSE have also produced guidance on the selection of first aid training providers to assist employers in satisfying themselves that they have made an appropriate choice of a competent first aid training provider. They have amended the guidance after listening to the views of businesses, organisations representing both employees and employers and the first aid training industry.

If you would like copies of our qualifications to satisfy your choice of competent first aid training provider, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you have any questions at all regarding these changes, again please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,

Bonnie and Aimie – Directors, Aim High Training and Development
